South-India, Nayak period, ca. 19th c.

Standing in slight tribhanga on a lotus base placed on a pedestal, drilled holes for supports, her right hand holding the lotus flower while the left is stretched down along her body, wearing sari tied around the waist with ribbons and a pair of sashes falling down her hips, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes below arched eyebrows, elongated earlobes with ear ornaments, her head topped with the kiritamakuta and a chakra at the backside of her head.
